Emma B.

As an activist and educator, Global Scholar 2020 alumna Emma’s focus is on climate change, menstrual equity, and Holocaust education. She is working to improve her school’s carbon footprint by helping to put a long-term sustainability plan in place. As a storyteller and filmmaker, being among the last generation to personally know Holocaust survivors, she is on the teen board of the Holocaust Museum LA and has made five short films on survivors, one of which was selected for the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival. As a voice for menstrual equity, Emma is a youth advisory board member for The Pad Project and advocates and educates about the global need for accessible, affordable, and safe menstrual products.
