Programs Overview:
All of our programs are structured around our three learning pillars: exploring what it means to be a young global citizen, deepening understanding of our greatest global challenges, and building skills to be a bold and visionary change maker. Our learning is hands on, through site visits, small-group discussions, projects, and applied activities. We place a premium on peer-to-peer learning, and many of our speakers are youth leaders and experts. Read more about our curriculum here, and check out past speakers here.
More on the Washington, D.C. Programs.
Our flagship experience, our Washington, D.C. programs are based at Georgetown University. We travel frequently to downtown Washington D.C. to meet with experts and policymakers, visit Capitol Hill and offices of our US representatives, and explore the best that this vibrant city has to offer in the summertime!
More on the Washington, D.C. Extension.
The extension offers participants more time in Washington, DC, to complete a project or mini-internship at one of our partner organizations. This session also includes career coaching, to help Scholars translate their experience into their CV, LinkedIn profile, and college applications.
More on Global Scholar: Atlanta and Civil Rights Trail.
This extraordinary experience is based at Emory University, with travel to Montgomery and Selma, AL. We begin at Emory University, where we will lay the foundations for our experience and meet youth and social change leaders in Atlanta. We then travel to Montgomery, where we will visit the Legacy Museum and the National Civil Rights Memorial, internationally-recognized museums and educational centers spotlighting work around civil rights in the US. Our workshops will focus on ethical leadership, and how to incorporate these lessons to our work as youth leaders and changemakers. We then return to Atlanta for a day of wrap-up workshops and next steps, before Scholars depart. Read more about the program here.
More on Global Scholar: Virtual.
Our popular virtual program is back, offering an unparalleled opportunity for Scholars to connect with youth leaders from around the globe, and learn from experts on the ground leading change on our greatest challenges. Scholars will stay connected with virtual peers between session days, working on applied assignments and challenges in small groups. They will also connect with our DC participants. This is a great option for Scholars who can’t travel to DC or the US, and/or have other summer obligations preventing them from doing an in-person program.
OUR FEE STRUCTURE
We are committed to ensuring as many students as possible can benefit from this life-changing experience. Please review suggested fees below. All fees can be made via our payment page here.
We are hands-down the most long-standing and affordable program of our peers. We are a non-profit organization with the mission of supporting rising young global leaders, not a company looking to extract exorbitant sums from students and their families.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We work hard to keep costs low and to provide a valuable program that is priced well below our competitors.
If you cancel within 30 days of the start date of your Global Scholar session, you won’t receive a refund. If you cancel within 60 days but more than 30 days to the start date of your Global Scholar, you will receive a refund of 50% of the amount you’ve paid.
If we are forced to cancel in-person programming due to public health or other requirements, any student who has been accepted to an in-person program is welcome to switch to a virtual session, or receive a full refund of any fees paid.
Space in our programs is extremely limited, and we have to reserve student housing and vendors well in advance. As a result, our ability to provide refunds is limited strictly to these timetables. We understand that few can afford to pay for a program that they can’t attend, so we strongly encourage you to consider our refund policy when making future plans and to plan carefully.
