Amber Spalek

Student Coordinator

As AMP’s Student Coordinator, Amber leads on student support and management during Global Scholar. She also leads student fellows, directs the Sound Waves program, and runs alumni programming throughout the academic year. Her interests are centered at the intersection of language, exchange programs, social justice, youth development, and conflict resolution. She is committed to building a more just and sustainable future through the power of international education. When she isn’t working for AMP, Amber is a student at George Mason University’s Honors College studying Global Affairs with a concentration in Asian Affairs. She has previously interned with the U.S. Department of State and American Councils for International Education. Amber was also a 2019 Boren Scholar for Mandarin Chinese.
