Avia is a high school student living in Georgia. She is interested in international relations, foreign languages, politics, and music. She likes to find ways to tie her interests together (for example, listening to music in different languages like French and Spanish). After attending an AMP Global Youth session this past summer, she became passionate about elections work, which led her to become an AMP Elections Fellow. Youth voter turnout is especially important to her. She now works to increase voter registration and turnout because she believes that all American citizens deserve the right to participate in America’s democracy. Her superpowers are being able to communicate well with others (she likes to write good emails) and working hard to achieve her goals.
