Esha Dudhwewala
Hi! I’m Esha and I’m from Boston, Massachusetts. I was born in New York, and most of my childhood was spent in South Florida and Kolkata, India. I am a rising senior in high school and was a Global Scholar just last summer! At school, I am an editor-in-chief and photo editor of the newspaper, a captain of the speech and debate team (I compete in Public Forum and Congressional debate), and a member of the Amnesty International chapter and Student Senate. I’m also on the tennis and cross country teams, and have started organizing a TEDxYouth event at my school. I speak three languages fluently (English, Hindi, and Spanish) and constantly I’m trying to learn more– my current pursuit is French! Something I am proud of is being alive, healthy and having survived every obstacle I’ve faced so far, and I consider my superpower to be telling stories. Journalism is one of my biggest passions and I am always trying to investigate, shed light on important issues around the world, amplify unheard voices and share people’s interesting stories. When I’m not chasing a story for my town or school paper, some things I enjoy doing are biking, playing the piano, listening to indie music, reading, editing videos, and attempting to follow crazy vegan recipes.
