Global Scholars are dreamers, builders, and doers. They know it’s up to us to pursue, design and demand our shared future. Check out the full line up of summer 2022 programs below.

Global Scholar: Advancing Gender Justice
July 25-28. Virtual

The challenges are both clear and complex. As we tackle our greatest global challenges, we must also address the reality that women and LGBTQIA+ individuals experience the most severe hurdles to education, the workplace, and our economy on the whole.  Youth have unique power and opportunity to lead the charge to demand a more just world for us all. Join us for this 4-day virtual workshop to explore framing concepts like human rights, feminism, and gender justice. We’ll then dive into three hallmark issues for the gender justice movement: workplace justice, reproductive rights, and access to education. We’ll cap it all off with a deep dive into building skills for speaking out, from writing for a local paper to meeting with an elected official to organizing a group or event. The experience culminates with each team drafting a project they can launch in their community. Find out more here.

Global Scholar: Power Pack Workshops
1-2 day clinics in July. Virtual.

  • Designing a More Just World: From Vision to Reality. July 13-14, 2022. We’ll connect around the youth experience with COVID-19, and its impact on our generation. We then move into artistic visioning around the future of education, jobs and workplaces, our economy, and our environment. The experience culminates with learning how to move big ideas from vision to reality. You’ll leave with concrete tools for visioning and launching a bold idea, and have access to future coaching and small grant funding for your work.
  • Connecting Global Youth for Global Change: July 28, 2022. Everything we do rests upon our ability to connect with, and inspire, others. This one-day workshop is an opportunity for youth leaders to build skills for recruiting, inspiring, and mobilizing friends and peers around issues you care about. We’ll review and practice strategies for facilitation, organizing, and team building. You’ll leave with concrete tools to use in your work, and the ability to access future coaching and small grant funding for your work.
  • Launch Your Bold Idea for Big Impact. July 21-22, 2022. In this final instalment of the Power Pack, you’ll take your big vision and your ability to inspire others and weave in the hard skills for planning, launching and managing the work. The Launch Workshop focuses on getting ideas off the ground in a way that’s effective, sustainable, and impactful. You’ll leave with concrete tools for strategic planning, evaluation, and fundraising. Participants are eligible to apply for small grant funding and year-round coaching opportunities.
