In the afternoons we’ll meet with leaders, including youth leaders, doing the work around our greatest global challenges, including climate change and gender justice.

We’ll also have time to explore Washington, D.C., and practice new skills through nightly creative challenges.

You’ll leave with a stronger skillset for changemaking, an expanded network, and new connections and community to support your leadership moving forward.

Summer 2023 Washington, D.C. Dates:

Session 2: July 9-14.

Who is this program for?

This program is for rising 9th-12th graders who are curious, bold, and visionary. This is an accelerated course, intended to supercharge your leadership skills through workshops and face-to-face meetings with visionary leaders working on the front lines of social change. The program is held in English.

Where will this program take place?

This summer we are once again based at beautiful Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Scholars stay in a secure dorm on the Georgetown University campus alongside our program staff. Most rooms are doubles, with a private bathroom.

Meals: While we eat many of our meals in the cafeteria, we also eat in downtown Washington, D.C. on the days we are visiting offices or sightseeing. Favorite destinations include the food trucks and Ethiopian food!

COVID safety. The program follows the COVID protocols set in place by Georgetown University and the DC Department of Health. The University requires all guests be vaccinated and boosted. Additional, final guidelines will be released closer to the program launch date.
